Day 1 - Tuesday

Arriving at Sofia Airport. Meeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Sofia. Dinner and overnight in "Best Western CITY Hotel" 4*- Sofia.

Day 2 -  Wednesday

Breakfast. Panoramic tour around Sofia – the capital of Bulgaria. This 8500 years old city will impress you with many interesting historical sights: "Alexander Nevski" cathedral /one of the world's largest Orthodox cathedrals/, "St. Sofia" church, which had given the name of the city, "St. Nedelya" church, "St. George" Rotunda, Council of Ministers, Presidency, National Art Gallery, National Theatre "Ivan Vazov", Russian church, the monument to the King Liberator of Bulgaria /inaugurated in 1905/ - the Russian Tsar Alexander II, the National Assembley, Sofia University. Lunch. Visiting Boyana church /included in the UNESKO list of World Cultural and Historical Heritage, famous for its unique wall paintings, which initiate the Renaissance in Europe/, the Sts. Cyril and Methodius National Library. Leisure time. Dinner in traditional Bulgarian folk-style restaurant with folk music and dances. Overnight in "Best Western CITY Hotel" 4*.

Day 3 - Thursday

Breakfast. Departure for Rila Monastery. Located in the heart of Rila Mountain, this is the largest and most famous Eastern Orthodox Bulgarian monastery. Founded in 10th century, The Rila Monastery is regarded as one of the country's most important cultural, historical and architectural monuments /included in the UNESKO list of World Cultural and Historical Heritage/. You will take a guided tour of the monastery complex. You will see the main church with its gold-plated iconostasis, the monastery museum. Lunch in restaurant nearby, famous with its dishes of fresh trout. After lunch departure for Sandanski. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in "Pirin Park Hotel" Sandanski 5* – one of the largest SPA centers in Bulgaria, famous for healing mineral water. Time to relax and to enjoy various spa procedures in the hotel.

Day 4 -  Friday

Breakfast. Departure for Melnik – the smallest town in Bulgaria, famous with its sand pyramids. This is a unique place you will never forget. Two sorts of red wine were produced in Melnik. One from fresh grapes and another - made from dried grapes which had long durability.
After a few - year storage the wine gained such qualities, which gave it opportunity with the European wines and was intended for European market where it was highly marked and requested. You will be able to taste these popular wines in Kordopulova house - It is the biggest house from the Revival period in the history of Bulgaria and was built by the rich family Kordopul from Melnik in 1754. Later you will visit Rozhen monastery - is the biggest monastery in the Pirin Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria. It is one of the few medieval Bulgarian monasteries well preserved until today. The earliest archaeological evidence of medieval life at the place is a grave with a few coins and decorations from the time of Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos (1259–1282). Some other items also date to the 13th century while the marble frieze above the central gate of the church dates to the 13th or 14th century. Lunch in Rozhen village. Departure for Bansko – the most prospering mountain resort in Bulgaria. You will visit the Bulgarian National Revival – style Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1835, the house, where the great Bulgarian poet Nikola Vaptsarov was born and some typical Bulgarian National Revival houses. Accommodation in the hotel "Bansko SPA & Holidays" 4* . Leisure time in Bansko. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 5 – Saturday

Breakfast. Departure for Bachkovo monastery – the second largest monastery in the country. On all sides, the monastery is surrounded by the hills of the Rhodopi Mountain, which together with its size and ancient spirit make is one of the most visited monasteries in Bulgaria. You will enjoy guided tour around monastery. Depart for Plovdiv – the city of seven hills and second biggest town in Bulgaria. It is one of the oldest centers of European civilization – older than Rome and Athens and a contemporary of Troy and Mycenae. Lunch in Plovdiv. Sightseeing of Old Plovdiv quarter – place with wonderful Renaissance houses, cobbled street, old churches and museums. Visit of Ethnographical museum in Plovdiv. Also visit of the Antique theatre, The Roman stadium, and the oldest church "St. Constantine and Elena". Accommodation in "Novotel Plovdiv" 5*. Depart to Brestovica village - wine tasting and dinner in "Todoroff Wine & SPA Hotel". Return to Plovdiv. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 6 – Sunday

Breakfast. Depart to Perperikon. On your way you will see the natural phenomenon "Kamennite gabi" /Stone mushrooms/. Arriving at ancient Thracian town and sanctuary Perperikon /18-12 c. B.C./. The ancient rock town of Perperikon is located in the Eastern part of the Rhodopes Mountains, at about 15 kilometers to the northeast of the town of Kardjali. The monumental Perperikon towers over a rock hill at a high of 470 meters above sea level. Artifacts and remnants of the impressive Thracian civilization have been found here: tombs, temples, and megaliths, which are concentrated around their natural center – the town of Perperikon. The monumental town in the rocks has been frequently compared to the world famous settlements of Machu Picchu, Petra, and even the Egyptian pyramids, because here as well this grand man-made stone creation makes modern people feel both their own insignificance and greatness at the same time. This fertile sheltered place had attracted settlers in very ancient times, and today, dozens of sites clustered around the natural hub of Perperikon reveal layer upon layer of archaeological remains. You will take a guided tour around this amazing place. Depart to Kardzhali. Lunch. Visiting the Archeological museum in Kardzhali where the treasures of Perperikon are kept. In the museum there are 30 halls on 3 floors and a large yard with lapidarium. Depart to Plovdiv. Dinner and overnight in "Novotel Plovdiv" 5*.

Day 7 –  Monday

Breakfast. Depart for Kazanlak. There you will visit a Tomy Show Cosmetic's company. Following the new production trend, Tomi Show Cosmetics concentrate its effors on developing producs with rose water and natural extracts. You will take guided tour around the factory and will have the opportunity to see how they extract the pure rose oil. Visiting of Rose museum in Kazanlak - The Museum is located in the building of the previous Institute of the Rose. It owns unique articles related to the traditional rose-oil production since 1660 : photos and documents of merchants of rose-oil, produce vessels and others. Depart to The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak. The tomb is part of a large Thracian necropolis. It comprises a narrow corridor and a round burial chamber, both decorated with murals representing a Thracian couple at a ritual funeral feast. The monument dates back to the 4th century BC and has been on the UNESCO protected World Heritage Site list since 1979. The murals are memorable for the splendid horses and especially for the gesture of farewell, in which the seated couple grasp each other's wrists in a moment of tenderness and equality. Lunch in Kazanlak. Depart to Shipka. Visiting Shipka Memorial church - located only 12km north of Kazanlak, at the south foot of the Stara Planina Mountains near the town of Shipka. It was errected after the Liberation as a monument to both Russian and Bulgarian dead. The golden domes and the green and pink coloured facade loom against the mountains and attract the attention of the travellers in the Shipka pass. The project design following the seventeen-century Russian church architecture with arks, friezes, pediments, and gold-plated ornaments, was the work of the Czeck architect A.I. Tomisko. The main entrance has three arks, topped off with the distinctive 50m-high spire of the bell tower. There are 17 bells, the heaviest of them weighs about 12 t. You will take guided tour around the church. Depart to Kmetovci village. Accommodation in Hotel "Fenerite" 3*. The hotel is with traditional architecture of the Bulgarian houses from XVIII and XIX century, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 8 –  Tuesday

Breakfast. Depart to Veliko Tarnovo - the medieval capital of Bulgaria, is brought to you with more than 7000 years of history. The houses, stacked one above the other, situated on the slopy hills of the town show a remarkable, unique architectural style. The bridges, unexpectedly flying over the river, palaces and towers, spectacular museums, ancient columns with writings left by our proud rulers, monasteries with unique murals and the Arbanassi fortress-houses.Visiting the Architectural reserve "Tsarevec". The inaccessible hill of Tsarevets was the best place where the supreme power of the Bulgarian tsars could be established. The sophisticated fortress system ensured safety of the citizens. The main entrance of the fortress was the west one. It was fortified by four consecutive gates and turrets above them. Accommodation and lunch in "Yantra Grand Hotel" 4*. Walking tour on The Samovodska Charshiya (Samovodska market place) in Veliko Tarnovo was established in the 60s-70s of 19th century, when the city started growing westwards. Two streets were formed with craft stores, workshops and inns. One of them began from a small square now known as the Samovodski market. Leisure time. Before dinner you will have the opportunity to watch famous audio visual Programme "Sound and Light" on the Tsarevets Hill - the most impressive attraction here.The audio visual programme dating from 1985 combines sound and light effects to reproduce the history of the ancient Bulgarian capital. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 9 –  Wednesday

Breakfast. Depart to Sofia. Lunch in the capital of Bulgaria and making final survey of impressions from this colorful country. Transfer to the airport.
